Meet the board

We are an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, developed by community
for community. Operating independently, we are committed to self-determination and
delivering tailored primary health programs and services that respond to the unique needs
and strengths of Aboriginal communities across the Warrumbungle LGA.

Grounded in Gamilaraay, Kamilaroi and Gomeroi Country, our approach is guided by the
principles of Cultural safety, respect, and trauma-informed care. We recognise the impacts
of intergenerational trauma and the importance of providing services that promote healing,
empowerment, and wellbeing.

We have embedded the YARNING framework across all service delivery to nurture trust,
strengthen relationships, and create meaningful opportunities for connection and healing.

Through Culturally safe and trauma-informed practice, we deliver inclusive programs and
services that honour Culture, build resilience, and support positive health outcomes for all
communities across the Warrumbungle LGA.

Our services are informed by a healing-centred approach that recognises the strengths,
resilience, and importance of Culture, and lived experiences of Aboriginal people and
communities.

to support the overall objects of Maaruma-Li;

• Doing all things incidental or ancillary to the attainment of the above objects; and
